The seven physicians and 30-member PediatriCare Associates staff relocated to their new office building in Kings Pointe of Sylvania the end of April.
“We were looking to relocate our practice, but we wanted to stay in the Sylvania area,” remembered Dr. R.W. Mills. “Our goal was to stay local. And, we liked the idea of owning our building. When we learned about this office park developed by Mike White, whose children are patients of the practice, it all made sense,” he said.
Mr. White, owner of Buckeye Real Estate Group, is the developer of Kings Pointe of Sylvania. Through his company, Buckeye Commercial Construction, he served as the general contractor for the 7,500-square-foot building, which offers 16 patient rooms, basement for storage and mechanicals, an all- brick exterior with stone accent at the entrance, and many other amenities. Feller, Finch & Associates were the architects for the project.
Ground was broken for the building last September and the project was completed in seven months.
Don Helvey of NuEquity Brokerage assisted the physicians with the site selection and was the listing agent of the property.
The 54-year-old practice started as Kappus, Miller, and Pigott, located at 3030 Sylvania Avenue. Dr. Rogalski joined the practice in 1989 and in anticipation of his senior partners’ retirements added the additional partners. The practice moved to 3400 Meijer Drive, where it remained until the recent move. The practice currently has seven partners and provides care for infants through adolescents and young adults.
Other businesses in the office park include the Better Business Bureau of Northwest Ohio, DMC Consulting, Dr. Timothy Tomase, DDS, Raymond James, First Merit Bank, the Pinnacle Eye Group and Organic Bliss.
