On Oct. 3 and 4, the Animal Behavior Center held its second annual Animal Behavior, Training and Health Seminar, where such topics as nutrition, training and health issues, all for a variety of animals and included live animals. The Center, which was formerly a greenhouse, is now renovated into a free-flight animal enrichment area. It hosts a multitude of animals, ranging from rare birds (including a vulture) to a pig and disabled dogs.
The seminar featured a multitude of expert speakers from across the country, including the keynote speakers Dr. Karen Becker, and Jason Crean, as well as Dr. Patricia Anderson, Verner Bingman, Billy Payne and Lara Joseph. It additionally showcased demonstrations, and tricks for mental and physical wellbeing from Dr. Deb Jones.
Joseph, owner and founder of The Animal Behavior Center, stated their goal is to strengthen animal and human relationships through the use of positive reinforcement and kind treatment.
