On Monday, March 21, the Lourdes University Department of Education, the Appold Planetarium, and the Collegiate Middle Level Association student organization are offering a STEM Day for 75 Beverly Elementary School fifth graders. Students will learn and enjoy from a variety of hands-on activities and presentations. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“As March is national Middle Level Childhood Education month, the Lourdes Department of Education and the Appold Planetarium wanted to provide a fun and educational program for these students. Additionally, we held a two-day workshop earlier this month for Diocesan Principals. Education plays such an important role in students’ lives as well as the greater community,” says Dr. Christine Knaggs, Dean of the College of Education and Human Services.
