What would have been the 50th annual Greek American Festival has been postponed until September 2021 due to COVID-19. That’s a long time for loyal festival-goers to wait; however, they need not despair. The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral is giving them a taste of Greece anyway.

What would have been the 50th annual Greek American Festival
has been postponed until September 2021 due to COVID-19.

In lieu of the festival, the community is invited to pick up their Greek food favorites during the church’s drive-thru event, Taste of Greece, on Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 am to 7 pm each day.
The menu includes Roasted Lamb Shank, Greek Lemon Chicken, Gyro on pita, Spanikopita (spinach pie), Dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), and Pastitsio (Greek lasagna). A four-piece Baklava plate and a pastry sampler will be available, as well as Greek wine and beer and a selection of sodas.
All items are available a la carte and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral is located at 740 Superior St. in downtown Toledo. Customers may use the drive-thru or walk-up window on Walnut Street to pick up their food.
