The Brand Store recently opened on the campus of Lourdes University. Students can find their favorite Lourdes spirit wear from shirts and ball caps to totes and drinkware. The Brand Store is located in the Welcome Center in Russel J. Ebeid Hall where Lourdes students help customers with their purchases on Monday through Friday between 9 and 5 pm. Future plans are in place to have these products available during events at the Rec Center, as well as online through a new Lourdes The Brand Store webstore.
“We are super excited with this new partnership with Lourdes,” noted Shawn Murphy, owner of Advance Advertising.

Stacy LaPointe of Advance Advertising is in charge of the new operation and the point person for the endeavor. She is also in charge of training each of the students working in The Brand Store.
According to Murphy, the partnership evolved when Lourdes Vice President and Dean of Students Greg Kneser approached Tiffany Scott, community relations manager of the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce. “Greg was looking for a local vendor to supply Lourdes spirit wear. Tiffany suggested he talk with us,” Murphy recalled. “We all are very happy to be part of this arrangement,” he said.
“The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to bringing area businesses and the community together to build a better business climate while promoting community development,” noted Scott. “The partnership between The Brand Store and Lourdes University is the perfect example of the Sylvania Chamber’s mission and commitment to the Sylvania community. As the ‘matchmaker’ between The Brand Store (Advance Advertising) and Lourdes University, our team is thrilled to witness this new endeavor come to fruition for our community,” she added.
“Having Lourdes spirit wear easily accessible at our Welcome Center gives the community an opportunity to share their love for Lourdes and what we represent. That is what we are most excited about,” Kneser acknowledged.
“And the name ‘The Brand Store’ provides us additional options and new branding opportunities for the future growth of our company,” Murphy related.
