August is an interesting time of year as it is the month that symbolizes somewhat of a melancholy goodbye to summer break, yet it is a month filled with excitement in anticipation of a new school year. With the first day of school just around the corner, our Sylvania families are busy as they spend time participating in various back-to-school activities … albeit squeezing in a few more weekend getaways or shopping for the best deals on new crayons/markers, folders, bookbags, clothes and, of course, new shoes. As we take time to enjoy this holiday season, I am sure many of us will also take time to reflect and appreciate the many gifts on our life’s journey.
