Press release provided by Lucas County Engineer’s Office
Road maintenance crews are gearing up for the upcoming winter storm expected to impact Lucas County Wednesday. Weather forecasts are calling for four to eight inches of snow to fall from early Wednesday morning into the evening.
LCEO’s garage is doing final inspections of all vehicles and equipment, topping off trucks with salt and deicers, putting down brine and reviewing all phase one and phase two snow routes for drivers.
Travel conditions will begin to decline after the morning commute and the heaviest snow is expected Wednesday afternoon. Staying home if you can while crews are out on the road is recommended. If you must go to work, #LeaveEarlyLeaveSafe and on your way home, #GoSlow and #DontCrowdThePlow and give our crews room to work.
