The Toledo Clinic officially launched its 100th anniversary celebration recognizing a century of physician-led care, innovation, and community impact across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
Founded in 1926 by three physicians, The Toledo Clinic has grown into one of the region’s largest independent, multi-specialty medical practices, while remaining owned and governed by physicians. The centennial kickoff event brought together clinic leadership, physicians, staff, patients, community partners, and local officials to reflect on the clinic’s history and share its vision for the future.
“This milestone represents far more than longevity,” said Dr. Christopher Perry of The Toledo Clinic. “It is a reflection of the trust our patients have placed in us for generations and the dedication of the physicians and caregivers who have made patient-centered, affordable care their priority for 100 years.”
As part of the event, Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz issued a proclamation recognizing The Toledo Clinic’s contributions to the health and well-being of the community and its continued role as a trusted healthcare partner in the region.
“The Toledo Clinic has been an anchor institution in our community for a century,” said Mayor Kapszukiewicz. “Their physician-led model and commitment to accessible, high-quality care have made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless families throughout Toledo and beyond.”

Today, The Toledo Clinic includes more than 240 providers across over 40 medical and surgical specialties, serving patients at more than 60 locations throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
“Being independent allows us to focus on what matters most,” said Dr. Henry Naddaf, president of The Toledo Clinic. “We are not driven by corporate mandates. We are driven by our patients. As we celebrate 100 years, we are honoring our past while continuing to invest in the future of healthcare delivery, access, and innovation.”
The centennial celebration will continue throughout the year with a series of signature events and initiatives designed to engage the community and promote health and wellness. These include the Walleye Run presented by The Toledo Clinic as part of Maumee’s Riverfest this spring, a Centennial Health Fair offering screenings and wellness resources, and a year-long storytelling campaign highlighting physicians, staff, and patients who have shaped the clinic’s legacy.
“The Toledo Clinic has been part of my life for decades,” said Beau Rochte, a longtime patient of the clinic. “The care I’ve received here has always been personal, compassionate, and focused on me as a person, not just a patient. I’m grateful to be part of this celebration.”
“Everything we do today is grounded in the same values that guided our founders,” Dr. Perry added. “As healthcare continues to evolve, our commitment to this community remains unchanged.”
