The Sylvania Area Community Improvement Corporation is now accepting applications from community nonprofit organizations for 2023 Community Organization grants. In 2022 the Sylvania Area CIC awarded $5,000 to several local not-for-profits. Those included the Sylvania Prevention Alliance, the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, the Sylvania YMCA/JCC, Sylvania Arts, Sylvania Area Family Services and the Official Town Crier.
