Sylvania’s celebration of the arts continues with the return of Maple & Main Art & Music Festival. Hosted by Sylvania Arts, the free event will be held June 3-4 in downtown Sylvania along Main Street and Maplewood Avenue.

Now in its 11th year, the festival will feature more than 60 artists and musicians, along with food trucks and beverage options. “Art has always brought people together and defined communities, and we’re thrilled to be an art festival tradition in the region,” said Sylvania Arts Executive Director Ken Dymond.

Fifty visual artists from around the country will participate in the festival displaying their work. Featured media includes photography, painting, jewelry, fibers, glass, ceramics, wood and more. Artists from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan will also be in attendance, including last year’s award winner in painting, Thomas Sorrel and woodworking, Andi Smith.

In addition to artists booths, a children’s art activity station will be located near the Historic Village on north Main Street. A stage for musical performances will feature local and regional talent representing genres from rock and bluegrass to jazz, folk and polka. Buskers will perform at pop up locations around the festival.
