Ground broken for Madeline’s

Work is underway for the new Madeline’s Patisserie on Holland Sylvania Road.

Ground was broken and construction has begun on a new bakery home for Madeline’s Patisserie, just a few blocks south of its present location at 5735 N. Main St. It is anticipated that the building will be complete by the end of the year.
The new building, located on Holland Sylvania Road at Harroun Road will accommodate the bakery’s growing wholesale croissant business along with a retail area at the front of the facility.
“The production area is designed to be much more efficient, allowing for our anticipated business growth. We will have a few tables for customers who wish to stop in and enjoy our sweet or savory croissants along with beverages,” noted Madeline’s Business Development Director Allison Carpenter.
“We are excited for the future and the new opportunities we have for growing the business,” she said. “We are also very happy that we are able to keep our business in Sylvania.”
Chef Chris Nixon originally opened a fine dining restaurant, Element 112, in 2012 at the current location. His first wholesale croissant order was received in January, 2023 and Element 112 evolved from a restaurant to a bakery under the brand Madeline’s Patisserie the following August.
