City Beat

Sylvania Police Chief Danilynn Miller introduced three new police officers, Ryan Stager, Erik Reichmanis, and Corey Wright, to Mayor Craig Stough and members of  City Council at the Aug. 21 meeting. The new officers joined the department at the end of July and are in the process of completing their 16-week training period. They bring the number of personnel in the department to 34, just one person short of the desired total of 35, according to Chief Miller. Continue reading City Beat

TARTA representative appointed
Joel Beren will continue to serve as Sylvania Township’s representative to Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority. The Township Trustees unanimously appointed him to serve the term beginning Oct. 1 through Sept. 30, 2026.
