Sylvania area Folk/Americana band, Chloe and the Steel Strings, released a new album entitled “Never Coming Back” on Thursday, Sept. 14. The new release is a concept album about courageously pursuing passions and is the follow up to the band’s debut album “Burn Bright.”
Led by husband-and-wife duo, Chloe and Connor Ward, Chloe and the Steel Strings blends the shimmer of folk with the spirit of psychedelia, creating a sound that feels both unique and familiar. The band also includes Pete Rodriguez, Anna Garrison, Eric Stuehr and Cody Podsiadlo.
Chloe and the Steel Strings frequently plays in Sylvania, where she and her sister and bandmate, Anna Garrison, grew up. The group can be found at events and venues such as the Maple & Main Music and Arts Festival, Sylvania Country Club and Fairways, plus throughout Ohio at breweries, wineries and festivals.
The upcoming sophomore album, “Never Coming Back,” is the band’s most introspective and transformative work yet; a journey through change, growth, and the courage to keep moving forward. “We’re here to spark a shift in how our culture views what’s possible. We believe that if your heart is pulling you in a direction, it’s not random, it’s part of your purpose,” explained Chloe Ward.
“Never Coming Back” is currently available for digital streaming or for purchase through your favorite online music marketplace. Hard copy CDs, Vinyl Pre-Order, and exclusive merchandise will be available at the band’s Album Release Show at the new Riverside BBQ in Downtown Toledo’s Ostrich Towne neighborhood on Friday, Sept. 19.
“My hope is that through our music, we are able to give people proof that pursuing a dream isn’t outlandish, it’s real,” Ward said. “You don’t need to be rich, well-connected, or young to create something meaningful. You just need a vision, a plan, and a whole lot of heart.”
