Sylvania Area Family Services (SAFS) will host “The Oscars” awards event on April 25 at 6 pm at the Sylvania Country Club. The red-carpet themed evening recognizes outstanding individuals and businesses whose dedication and generosity have made a significant impact on the greater Sylvania community.

This year’s honorees include Marcus Hansen as Community Volunteer, Josh Miller and Kyle Vierling of Hafner Florist as Community Business, and Dan Ridi of S & G Stores as Community Leader. Each will receive a Ray of Hope Award in recognition of their exceptional commitment to serving others and strengthening the Sylvania community through leadership, service, and philanthropy.

The event celebrates their contributions in an Oscar-inspired atmosphere while highlighting the mission and work of Sylvania Area Family Services.

Proceeds from the evening directly support SAFS programs and services, including the food pantry, youth programs, and other essential resources that assist local individuals and families facing challenges.

“The Oscars” serves not only as a celebration of community leadership, but also as an opportunity to further the organization’s ongoing efforts to meet critical needs throughout Sylvania.
