Children’s Wonderland is back

Children’s Wonderland returns to the Sports & Exhibition Center at Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter, 7060 Sylvania Ave., in December. The display, operated by Sylvania Recreation Corporation, opens Friday, Dec. 9 and runs through Dec. 24.

Dozens of classic exhibits will be on display, along with train rides and photo ops with Santa.

This year an enhanced Kid’s Zone with coloring, letters to Santa and more will be included with the cost of admission.

A fee will be charged for the Mold-O-Matic Souvenir wax figure machines.

Donuts with Santa will be offered on Dec. 10 and 11 from 9 to 11 am. The cost is $16 for adults and $12 for children and includes breakfast goodies, two-hour early entry, photo ops, unlimited train rides and personalized kids crafts.

Mrs. Claus will be at Children’s Wonderland for the first time on Sunday, Dec. 18 for interactive story times with children. Private story time begins at 10:30 am with limited tickets; public story time will be held every two hours starting at noon to 6 pm. There will also be a model train display Dec 9 through Dec. 12.
