Select Southview Financial Management and Programming students competed in the Business Professionals of America state competition in Columbus on March 9 after advancing from the regional competition held in January. There were multiple SV students placing in the top 10 spots of their respected events: Kellan Elhai placed fourth; Kaela DuPree, seventh; Benjamin Hsiao, first; Grace Rooney, fourth; Henry Shao, second; and the team of Kennedy Grohnke, Tara Langenderfer, AJ Michelson, and Marissa Ragusa placed first. Because of their high achievement, Hsiao, Shao, and Grohnke, Langenderfer, Michelson, and Ragusa have the opportunity to compete in the national competition to be held in Anaheim, Calif. in April.
