Lourdes University and S.A.V.E. (Science Alliance for Valuing the Environment) will offer a lecture by Sarah Weller and Claudia Godreau of the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) team, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Franciscan Center Board Room, 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania and virtually via Zoom.
The speakers will discuss how understanding types and abundance of debris that pollutes waterways and coasts can assist in properly addressing plastic waste issues. They will also speak to the ICC’s history, impact, and trajectory while providing ways to get involved in cleanup efforts within local communities.
