Susan Ochs chose Kingston of Sylvania for her residence a little less than a year ago. “When I first came here, I isolated myself and was mostly in my room alone. I was a schoolteacher for 41 years, and I just couldn’t sit around and do nothing. One day the activities director talked to me about getting more involved,” she recalled. French Open doubles champions headline JPO Foundation charity tennis event
The JPO Foundation’s second annual “It’s All About Love” Tennis Charity Event will be held on Saturday, July 22 at TWO’s Athletic Club on Cass Road in Toledo. Internationally known tennis champions, Luke and Murphy Jensen, will be in Toledo to help support the mission of the JPO Foundation. Proceeds from the event, which is in memory of James Patrick O’Connell, focuses on educating, supporting, and promoting healthy relationships, better access to mental health and crisis intervention services. Star Spangled celebration planned for Centennial Terrace
Sylvania’s “Star Spangled Celebration” will be held Monday, July 3 from 7 to 11 pm at Centennial Terrace, 5773 Centennial Rd.
