Lourdes esports coordinator named

Lourdes University Vice President of Athletics Janet Eaton-Smith announced that Harrison Greer has been named the Gray Wolves’ new esports coordinator.

Greer had been the program’s graduate assistant and also served as a student coach and player for the Gray Wolves during his undergraduate playing days.

“It is an exciting time in athletics to name an alum, Harrison Greer, as the next esports coordinator,” Eaton-Smith stated. “Not only does it help support the alumni relations, but it also brings a fresh prospective as well as respect for the University as a whole. It will help support the big picture in the athletics department. Computer science major now is option for Lourdes students

A new Computer Science major will be an option for Lourdes students when the fall semester begins on Aug. 22. The major will require 36 credit hours and the minor will be 18 credit hours.

Dean of the College of Arts and Science Katherine P. Beutel, Ph.D., who oversees all the majors and programs in the college, has been working to add this new field for a few years.

Beutel explained that the 12 classes for the Computer Science major will be online. The courses will be spread over a student’s four years and will be mixed in with other core classes such as business or professional writing. Lourdes’ Like Me Program coordinator named

Lourdes University President Mary Ann Gawelek, Ed.D., has announced the appointment of Angelica Johnson, M.A. as Coordinator of the Teachers of Color Program, Like Me, for Lourdes University.
