VFW Post 2898 brightens schools

Sylvania Schools Superintendent Dr. Veronica Motley, center, accepts a check from members of the VFW Post 2898. The funds have been designated to pay the unpaid lunch balances for Hill View students, provide a new lighted flag pole for the school administration building, 4747 Main St., and to add lights to the north side of Northview High School. ‘The schools and the VFW have developed a great partnership. These donations allow the district to put their funds to use in other areas,’ noted Roy Holston, Sylvania Schools, director of business operations.
