When Kelsey and Kyronne “KJ” Jackson decided to go plant based in 2015, their search for vegan and gluten-free baked goods in local coffee shops and restaurants came up short. Anthro Apothecary offers natural home and beauty products at Sylvania Farmers Market

A two-week trip to Haiti in 2006 provided fascination and inspiration for Michaela Holdridge to create Anthro Apothecary, a business featuring natural products for health and home including herbal tea blends, spice blends, and bath and beauty products.

“My mother, a physician’s assistant, was practicing medicine in Haiti, and I decided to go with her,” said Holdridge. “From the moment we landed, it was a complete eye opener for me. We were in the middle of the jungle, and I was seeing how other cultures were using medicine in different ways. They were treating their ailments and injuries with what they had available to them, using plants and herbs that we do not,” she added.
